Parenting Teenagers 101 Parenting Tips to Discipline Your Teens eBook Jennifer Simmons
With two boys currently in middle school and entering their teenage years, my wife and I have had more than a few instances where we felt like banging our heads against the wall. However, as I've been reminded by this book, we're actually doing a good job raising our boys. From things like helping your kids manage their school work, friendships and the ever exciting roller coaster known as puberty, this book offers a wealth of tips.
I would have liked to see some more discussion about talking with your kids about the risks of technology (bullying via social media, inappropriate messages and videos, etc) as I have seen this problem growing in our schools.
Overall though, this was a helpful book even if it is just a reminder on the things you are doing well. And if you're having any issues with your teenagers, definitely give this book a read.

Parenting Teenagers 101 Parenting Tips to Discipline Your Teens eBook Jennifer Simmons Reviews
I have a wonderfully active two year old nephew that takes pleasure in throwing every valuable thing I own out the window whenever he gets a chance. My sister and I were looking for a way to help us be better at parenting him, that's why a got a copy of How To Be Your Kids Buddy Build The Relationship As Early As Now which really helped put things into perspective for us.
My sister also has a very out spoken and strong willed five year old daughter who already acts like she is in her teens. I was a bit worried that she would be a handful when she actually got to those years, so I got my hands on a copy of this book. I literally wanted to practice. I had the opportunity of looking after one of my cousins teenage daughter, she had a firecracker mouth and did not seem to like or respect those in authority. In Trinidad we are normally taught to respect the elders in our family and regard them as though they were indeed out parents.
I knew she was going to be a handful from moment she walked in but I was prepared because I read this book cover to cover. I was determined to try all the techniques I learned out on her. I can't recall ever being as undisciplined as she was, even the simplest task of making up her bed was a huge problem for her. When I grew up my mother used the belt to speak whenever I didn't listen. I got straightened out very early because of that but these days you can't use those things on children and while I agree to a certain extent, when it came to this particular child I have to admit I had some reservations.
I was so happy when I applied the techniques and it worked. Not every thing happened at once though it was kind of like getting a toddler used to the idea of the 'naughty spot' as punishment. You have to be patient of you want to get results and you also have to be consistent. You can read all the advice books you want but if you lack patience and consistency then it's all for naught.
Jennifer addressed some of the many issues I was facing with my cousins daughter which I really appreciated. As a gift I gave this book to my cousin after I tried it on her daughter. By the time we were done she was completely in line. She was a totally different child and my cousin was beside herself.
I'm really happy this book exists because it can help a lot of parents out there. I feel as though I am ready to take on whatever life throws at me in the future when it comes to my little niece. I'm sure that with a little more research and to cope with the changes in behavior that the author would have to revisit this book and update it in the future but for now it's like gold for parents with restless teens.
Useless to me
Unless you have a toddler . If your needing help when they are teens forget this book.
good book but needs more concrete remedies
enjoyed readying If you have a teen you need to read this one
This book presents a no nonsense look at raising teens. It deals with drug problems, dating and internett. I found it very usefull. I would also recommend this book about talking to your teens.Talking to Kids Made Easy
A lot of sound advice
This is a pretty good that gives sound advice on how to raise children, focusing on a number of crucial areas the need for showing your love, the problems that all children/teenagers will have, and how to deal with these on a rational basis.
So often, parents are really at a loss as to how to act when their teen has problems, or causes them. As a result, parents often might fly off the handle, become domineering, intrude on their child's privacy, overreact, or have other such ultimately destructive reactions. "Parenting Teens 101" shows how such overly-emotional reactions can be avoided, and replaced by gaining a wiser perspective on the situation at hand, and acting reasonably, and effectively.
I liked it, and can recommend to others.
